The Action Center distributes free food, clothing, hygiene items and more to hundreds of households each day. Generous community donations of new and gently used items make these programs possible. If you have not worn that coat in 5 years, your pantry is overflowing, or you found the best deal on laundry detergent, The Action Center is happy to put these donations to good use!

Daily we receive so many great donations, but there are some items we rarely receive.

Items We Cannot Accept
While we don’t like saying “no thank you” to any donation, there are many items we simply cannot store and easily distribute to our participants.
Unfortunately, there is a high cost related to disposing of items that we cannot use or distribute.
Additionally, the Action Center does not have the cleaning facilities to wash clothing or other items, nor do we know what kind of facilities our participants may have to clean and sanitize what they receive.
Donating “hanger ready,” not expired, and good condition items make certain our participants are treated with dignity and respect and receive high quality items.
