We Have Financial Assistance Programs

Sometimes life presents challenging circumstances which make it difficult to make ends meet. The Action Center’s Rental and Utility Assistance programs may be able to help.

Rent or Mortgage Assistance

If you’ve been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and need rent, deposit, utility, or mortgage assistance please visit the Jefferson County Emergency Assistance website for more information or to apply. Jefferson County Human Services has partnered with The Action Center and three other local agencies to administer the ERA funds to JeffCo residents. Please complete an application through the button above and one of the partnering agencies will reach out to you.

If you are experiencing a financial hardship not related to the COVID-19 pandemic, please click the link below and complete the form. An Action Center staff member will be in contact with you. Please note, you will be required to provide documentation regarding your temporary financial hardship.

Non-Covid Hardship Pre-Qualification Form
This program provides eligible Edgewater residents with $750 to spend on whatever needs they may have, including rent or mortgage.

Requests will be reviewed by the Salvation Army Golden Service Extension Unit (housed at Calvary Church). The Salvation Army Golden SEU has a strong track record providing emergency rent and utility assistance in the Golden community.

Utility Assistance

The Energy Outreach Colorado Fund provides energy assistance for Jeffco residents who have a past due balance on their energy (Xcel) bill. If you’re in need of assistance paying your energy bill and you reside in Jefferson County, Colorado please complete the utility assistance pre-qualification form.

 

Please review the program requirements on the form and complete one request form only if you meet those requirements and can supply the required documentation. If you meet the eligibility requirements, an application for the Energy Outreach Colorado Fund will be emailed to you.

Having trouble paying bills?  The Community Cares Action Fund provides financial assistance to Jeffco residents who have been financially impacted by COVID.  We will pay up to $500 for bills related to transportation, utilities, health care, education child care, storage and others.  You may only receive this assistance one time.
